Futures: 5-7-year-olds, no draft. This division will teach our younger players the fundamentals of the game with other organizations through out Virginia beach. We at WKYA have partnered with other organizations and the VBUSL to create a beginners league where your child will not only learn the game from start to finish but will be engaged in learning the game the right way. Fundamentals are key at this age. The futures program has been built to give every child in Virginia beach the best understanding of the game and to develop the skills, for the future in Virginia beach softball. The hard work and determination of the staff will build skills of players and get them ready for the next level. The futures program is open to all players 5-7 years old that are beginners.

Sr Pigtail: 7-9-year-olds, no draft. Sr Pigtail is the last step before moving up to Pre-Teen, where our teams play against other leagues throughout the city in a highly competitive environment. Sr Pigtail plays the entire season with mostly regular softball rules.

Pre-Teen and Jr Girls: 10-12 years old, 13-15 years old, The next two leagues in softball are all played at facilities around Virginia Beach against teams from other rec-leagues. In the past, we have done very well with our teams due to our development strategy with our younger kids and the great volunteer spirit of our parents/coaches.
